AVBS Workshops
All workshops have been developed by Dr Tracey Henderson (Senior Behaviour Veterinarian)and Tracy Irons (Nationally accredited dog trainer)both founders and co-directors of AVBS.
All workshops can be modified to specifically suit your needs and can be conducted either at a venue that suits your work place or at a venue provided by AVBS.
Behaviour & Handling Workshop
This comprehensive one day workshop is for Veterinarians, Vet Nurses, Rescue Shelter Staff, Dog Groomers or anyone that works with and handles animals.

This comprehensive 3 hour workshop focuses solely on cat behaviour, common cat problems and cat handling techniques to recude work place injury and to ensure the welfare of the cat.

Animal Management Workshop
Understanding and safely working with animals
This action packed one day workshop is specifically aimed at Council Animal Management Officers/Rangers or anyone who works or comes into contact with unfamiliar dogs (and cats).

Dog bite prevention workshop
A 3 hour workshop designed to help people that come into contact with unfamiliar dogs in their daily work life, to be able to read dog body language and behaviour in detail to AVOID getting bitten.
It is the employers responsibility to ensure their staff have the competence and confidence to feel safe when interacting with an unfamiliar dog, with minimal risk of an aggressive incident.
The following is the basic guideline for the workshop.
